The future of Meat-Eating

To what extent do the development of new technologies affect shared beliefs of society?

To satisfy the increasing demand for food by the growing human population, cultured meat (also called in vitro, artificial or lab-grown meat) is presented by its advocates as a good alternative for consumers who want to be more responsible but do not wish to change their diet.

But what about vegetarians how do their values and beliefs of their culture be affected because of this. When vegetarians think about other people eating meat they think how this would go against their culture and how many animals are killed just satisfy their needs.

Even though the cultured meat does not kill any animal it sure does feel like betraying the culture of vegetarians. Any kind of meat, even vegan meat is considered non-veg food. but not all vegetarians may agree to this as some may think that the meat is not made of animals then they can have it.

So the development of new tech featuring meat would affect the beliefs of the specific society(vegetarians). It depends on each person's perspective of how they will look at the cultured meat.
