The best history is written by those who lived through the events they described
The historians who lived through the event have certainty that it happened cause they have seen it through their own eyes. They know the truth of what happened and that's why they are certain about the information they share. Other historians can interpret the history written by one historian and it can be easily understood now because of the technology development.
But the perspective of the historian can be biased which may reflect to their work. Because it involves personal experience it becomes more subjective than objective. As the historians personal cultural knowledge could affect how he/she looks at events because each person has their own values and beliefs.
If the historian lived through the event then he/she would have evidence as their role as a historian is to gather documentary evidence in order to come to the best possible interpretation. Because he/she has lived through these events so he/she would be collecting a lot of evidence to confidently claim what he/she has written.
It is their responsibility to bring these events to the society for them to gain more knowledge of what has happened and what is it causing to happen now or what will happen.
If the historian writes about the event not in a biased way then it should be considered the best history written for the specific event as they are certain and truthful.
